April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the pinwheel is its symbol – representing the whimsical innocence every child deserves. You are invited to “plant a pinwheel” for awareness with us, either:
April 1 at 9:30 a.m. at the North County Rape Crisis and Child Protection Center, 511 E. Ocean Ave., Lompoc, or
April 5 at 9:30 a.m. at the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors Building, 511 E. Lakeside Pkwy.
Each pinwheel represents the 1 in 5 children suspected of being abused.
