CAP Month 2019

2019 campaign: Unite for Kids

The theme of the 2019 Child Abuse Prevention Month campaign was "Unite for Kids." CAPC members worked to raise awareness with events including:

• A Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors resolution April 2 (#CAPMonth)

• Pinwheel Planting events April 3 (#Pass the Pinwheel)

• Wear Blue photo days April 4-5 (#WearBlue4Kids)

• The release of a study on the local economic impact of child abuse April 6 (#CutTheCost)

• A screening and discussion of the film RESILIENCE at Vandenberg Air Force Base April 17 (#Unite4Kids)

• A presentation at the Cottage Hospital Child Abuse Prevention Symposium April 26 (#HelpingFamiliesThrive)

• A Children's Memorial Flag Raising event April 30 (#FlagsHonoringYoungLivesLost)

Throughout April, we also ran a message-of-the-day campaign on our CAPC Facebook account, and distributed the 2019 CAP Month brochure.
