2016 campaign: Community in Unity
The theme of the 2016 campaign was “A Community in Unity creates Child Well-Being.” We promoted it with events in member offices, in the field, on the airwaves and on social media. Here are some highlights:

A Spanish-language Public Service Announcement radio spot (transcript) co-sponsored by First 5 ran on Radio La Buena and Radio Ranchita ten times a day all month.
Each day in April, we posted a tip to the CAPC Facebook page. Visit and "Like" the page at www.facebook.com/sbc.capc.
CAPC members received media support including sample press release text, talking points, suggested Tweets, and more. They also viewed and discussed the Building Community, Building Hope video.
CAPC members including the Family Resource Centers and Department of Social Services received blue-ribbon pins and participated in "Wear Blue for Kids" awareness day events (typical photo).
The annual Pinwheels for Prevention event by the North County Rape Crisis and Child Protection Center took place on April 4 at the Lompoc Police Department (see these newspaper and television stories).
