Santa Barbara County Children’s Scorecards
The Santa Barbara County Children’s Scorecard is a publication produced by the Santa
Barbara County KIDS Network that provides data on the physical, emotional, educational
and social well-being of our children over time.
Conceived and designed by Dr. Michael Furlong at the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education
at the University of California at Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara County Children’s
Scorecard has a long and distinguished history. Issued for the first time in 1991,
the report is based on data collected and compiled by the Santa Barbara County KIDS
Network, and has been widely used by the community over the years.
